How did we get here?

We watched our oldest two children in public schools and realized that, as bad as schools were when we were growing up, they were something much worse, now. My children were quickly losing their spark and passion for education in a impersonal and factory setting. The behaviors tolerated and encouraged boggled our minds. Our next step was homeschooling as we thought private schools were outside of our budget, until we learned about Acton Academies. 

It was then that we rethought the entire idea of education and realized that our family was called to take ownership of our learning and to build an amazing network of schools in the South Puget Sound offering world-class education that inspired other brave families to do the same. 

The rethinking education model of Acton Academy offers what we want for our children and for all children - to be prepared for a meaningful life, with 21st century skills that focus on learning to "Do" and to learning to "Be" while embracing the path of a lifelong learner.
