Citizens Academy

Citizens Academy is a K-8 private school located in Renton, WA, at the Springbrook Church of Christ. We serve learners ages 7 to 12 (Middle studio for ages 12-14 coming in 2026), offering a learner-driven education that connects academic growth with real-world experiences and a deep appreciation for nature.

At Acton, we place curiosity and independence at the heart of everything we do. Our learners embark on their own Hero’s Journey, discovering their unique gifts and building the confidence and skills they need to thrive. Our program includes Socratic discussions, hands-on Quests, and enrichment opportunities like gardening, art, entrepreneurship, and science projects.

With a blend of the natural world and innovative learning, Citizens Academy challenges young people learn to think critically, solve real-world problems, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
